ABOUT MY BLOG
Addiction is by far the most intense and scariest thing I have ever been through, and I know many people can agree with me. The way it withers away at your life is fucking haunting, always feeling like it can't possibly get any worse, and yet somehow it does.
I can't promise that things will get better, but I can assure you that changing any aspects of your life, sobriety or not, can make the world of a difference. Change is inevitable. It is bound to happen whether you like it or not.
Here's the catch though: you have no fucking clue when. It's up to you to work for it, and my blog may just be able to help you out.
While looking at other addiction and recovery blogs, I noticed plenty of things that I could add or do differently. My ideas could go on forever, so over time there will always be new additions.

I'm 21 years old and I'm a recovering drug addict.
When I first stumbled across blogs about addiction and recovery I was surprised that people would share such an intimate part of their life. It took me a bit to realize that this is exactly what the stigma surrounding addiction does; it causes people to keep everything to themselves like a secret. I kept my addiction a secret from everyone, even once I was sober. I didn't want to be judged or looked at like I've already failed at life being so young. But I've come to realize a few things;
1. I really don't care what anyone thinks of me.
2. I shouldn't ever feel like a failure; addiction comes with trial and error.
3. I have the power to change aspects of my life, and I have to accept the things that I cannot change.
4. I have the power to spread awareness on the subject by sharing my story and my knowledge.
Realizing all of that is what lead me to start this blog, which has turned into my biggest hobby at this point. Sobering up makes you realize you spend all your free time doing drugs or getting drugs, so blogging in general has helped consume my time a lot. Other than that, I'm very passionate about music and art, I don't think I'd even be alive if it wasn't for music.
